community gratitude walk 11.27.09
The public is invited to attend a free open house labyrinth walk on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 2-5:00 p.m. at Bloedel Donovan Park's Community Room/Gym, 2214 Electric Ave., Bellingham, WA. All members of the community are welcome to drop in and try a labyrinth meditation on thankfulness and gratitude. Come on your own, bring your out-of-town family to create a new after-Thanksgiving tradition, or stop in between after-Thanksgiving sales to experience the labyrinth's ability to allow you to reflect, rest and renew!
Music will be provided by Christine Magnussen (www.harpspirit.com or www.peacecalm.com) and the Labyrinth Harpers. Myra Smith will facilitate the walk and be on hand to answer any questions and provide one-on-one information.
"I have been so grateful for the community's support and enthusiasm for the labyrinth, that I wanted to schedule a free event to show my thanks. The Thanksgiving holiday seemed to be a perfect time for showing my gratitude for all of my clients, friends, and community referrals this year."
The event is free. However, Thanksgiving donations will be accepted for Project Labyrinth of Bellingham. The group's goal is to build a permanent public outdoor labyrinth in Fairhaven Park.
A limited number of labyrinth items for holiday gift giving will also be available at the walk. We look forward to seeing you there!

a peaceful place for a quiet moment - Bellingham Country Gardens
"A new addition to our garden this year was a Laughing Flower labyrinth. Set in red brick, in a quieter part of the strawberry patch, the labyrinth attracted customers, including children. Generally, the garden is peaceful even on sale days and many of our friends come to the garden for the opportunity to have a quiet moment in a natural environment. Sam and I so appreciate the presence of the labyrinth, as it provides a way for people to focus inward while they are with us.
Bellingham Country Gardens begins with strawberries and doesn’t close until the last pumpkin is sold for Halloween. We invite you to join us next season for strawberries, vegetables, and some time with the labyrinth." -Donna Grubbs, Owner, Bellingham Country Gardens, www.bellinghamcountrygardens.com
